Puska brothers in 23hr lock-up
Irish Daily Star
|October 30, 2025
THE brothers of murderer Jozef Puska are now on the same prison landing but are locked up for 23 hours a day after one of them was attacked.
It is understood Irish Prison Service bosses are finding the housing of Marek and Lubomir Puska extremely challenging - after one was brutally attacked by five inmates in a cell last Friday.
Now both brothers, who were last week jailed for two-an-a-half years for their role in withholding information that could've led to the prosecution of their murderer brother Jozef Puska, are locked up for 23 hours a day in single cells due to the threat to their lives.
Their suspected attackers are all facing P19 internal punishment and a Garda investigation following the incident.
Jozef Puska is serving a life sentence for the murder of schoolteacher Ashling Murphy, who he stabbed to death while she was out on a run in Cappincur, Tullamore, Co Offaly, on January 12, 2022.
