Tipp's hopes of a first League title in 17 years were blown away in the second quarter on Leeside as Cork ran riot to take an unassailable 13-point lead at half-time and ultimately bridge the gap to their last League crown in 1998.

The sides go their separate ways for their respective Munster Championship openers in two weeks, though they will reconvene at the same venue on April 27 in their second Championship outing.

Cahill insisted he hadn't held anything in reserve ahead of the League final, despite Noel McGrath not making the match day panel, for example.
