IS my gullible mum being scammed?

Recently, at a family dinner, she announced she’s “met a man”. We were all shocked as she's always said she would never date again after the death of my dad in 2020.

My wife pressed for more details and mum explained she'd bumped into a lovely man at a bus stop who complimented her on her stylish outfit.

My mum is 63 and does look very good for her age. They got chatting and he said he had a brother who was lonely and looking for a friend.

Mum was flattered. They ex-changed email addresses, and this “brother” started sending friendly messages.

Now she has decided she's madly in love with him even though she’s never physically spoken to him, seen his face or heard his voice. Apparently, he's very shy...
