Man who sold drugs hidden in Kinder eggs jailed for 4yrs

Owen Treacy, 28, of St Ita's Street, St Mary's Park, Limerick - who is a grandnephew of the murdered Limerick gangland boss Kieran Keane and whose father Owen Treacy Snr survived a deadly knife attack in which he was stabbed 17 times by Keane's killers - waved to loved ones in court as he was led away.

Treacy Jnr, who pleaded guilty to four counts of possessing drugs for sale or supply, had earlier appeared unfazed at the sentence as he sat in the dock at Limerick Circuit Criminal Court.

The father-of-two admitted selling or supplying others with almost €5,000 worth of drugs from a vacant house near his home in 2019.
