Man, 28, is arrested by officers

THE PSNI has launched a murder inquiry after the death of a pregnant mum-of-two at the weekend.

Police say they received a report at around 2.15pm on Saturday afternoon of an unconscious woman with a serious injury inside a house in the Elmfield Walk area of Donaghadee, Co Down.

The woman who was pronounced deceased at the scene has been named as 27-year-old Sarah Montgomery. Police say she is confirmed to have been pregnant at the time of her death.

DCI Tom Phillips said: "A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, and remains in police custody assisting with enquiries.
