Power cuts in Ukrainian raid

UKRAINE unleashed waves of drone strikes deep inside Russia overnight, causing devastating fires and damage at refineries and petrochemical plants.

Tens of thousands of Russians were hit by electricity blackouts and energy plants suffered millions of euro worth of damage.

Several regions had outages as substations including in Volgorod and Kursk were targeted in revenge strikes after raids on Ukrainian cities.

Both sides are locked in a bitter missile exchange aimed at cutting off energy supplies as winter nears.
