ARMAGH manager Kieran McGeeney hopes to see a return to the group format in the All-Ireland series in the near future, although he refused to offer a quick turnaround as a reason for his side's Championship exit in Kerry on Saturday.

- BY PADDY TIERNEY

The Ulster champions were stunned by a last-gasp Sam Mulroy goal as Louth booked their place in the last eight while the Orchard were then pitted against the reigning champions in a knockout clash.

McGeeney’s men failed to raise a gallop in the second after conceding a goal to Paul Geaney on the cusp of half-time and bowed out following a 13-point loss in Killarney.
