RACHAEL Blackmore, one of Ireland's top sporting heroes, has received a Professional Excellence Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to Irish sport.

Griffith College, Ireland's largest private higher education institution, also honoured broadcaster Joe Duffy alongside Rachael at its annual graduation ceremony.
The College's Professional Excellence Award was presented to Rachael yesterday in recognition of her outstanding contribution to Irish sport.
