IT'S ALL TOO MESSY FOR ACE GRIMES

MATT GRIMES admitted Coventry were disappointed at having to settle for a “messy” point.

The Sky Blues produced more champagne football as they twice took the lead to make it 14 goals in the past three league games.

But battling Oxford pegged them back both times to earn a first point of the season.

Haji Wright put Frank Lampard's men ahead early on and a stunning Victor Torp free-kick restored the lead before halftime.

Wright hit the bar late on but City midfielder Grimes (above) is still more than satisfied with the two points-per-game average to start the campaign.
