Howe's Bruno war of words

EDDIE Howe has admitted that he disagreed with his own captain in the fallout of the Wear-Tyne derby defeat against Sunderland.

After the Brazil international labelled the 1-0 loss “a mess”, Howe played down Bruno’s assessment of the defeat and felt that he had been off target with some of his post-game remarks.

Bruno was sent out to face reporters after the dismal defeat and he offered a passionate response to the performance, but Howe only partially agreed with him.
