HENNESSY WIDOW 'XL BULLY GARDA ATTACK' CASE IS PUT BACK TO 2026

A CASE involving murdered Jason Hennessy Snr's widow, where she is accused of setting an XL Bully dog on gardai, has been adjourned until next yewhile awaiting directions from the DPP.

Veronica Maher, 54 — whose husband 'Jay' was shot dead in Browne's Steakhouse in Blanchardstown, Dublin, on Christmas Eve 2023 — is charged with deliberately letting a large restricted breed XL Bully dog free from her front garden while gardai were on beat patrol in the area on March 28.

Ms Maher, of Sheephill Avenue in Blanchardstown, is also charged with possessing a €10 marked note that was used as part of an undercover operation to purchase illegal drugs from the rear of her home address on Thursday, April 3.
