Fans leave early in droves as Hammers are humiliated

- BY JOHN CROSS Chief Football Writer @johncrossmirror

TWO games into the new Premier League season and West Ham are already in a full-blown crisis.

The Hammers fans turned on their own players as they booed them off at halftime and then walked out en masse during the second half as it turned into a complete humiliation against Chelsea.

It leaves under-pressure West Ham boss Graham Potter already fighting to save his job as it turned toxic inside the London Stadium.

The Blues were rampant as they ripped the Hammers to shreds and, incredibly, four of their five goals came from inside the six-yard box which only underlined the shambolic defending.

West Ham's new £18million keeper Mads Hermansen had another stinker after shipping three goals on his debut against Sunderland last weekend. The Dane conceded five last night-and the reality was it could have been an even heavier defeat as normal service has resumed for both clubs.
