MICK GALWEY is certain that Ronan O'Gara's next port of call will be with an international team - and he thinks it will be England.

His former Ireland and Munster teammate has ticked all the boxes since leaving the Reds for coaching roles at Racing (2013-17), Crusaders (2018-19) and La Rochelle where he has won two Champions Cups (2022, 2023).

"There might have been a time when people expected the national coach of a country to be from that country but that's simply not true any more," said Galwey (pictured).

"Andy Farrell is an Englishman and look how well he has done with Ireland, so well I expect him to still be there and take us through to a third World Cup cycle so the Irish gig won't be up for grabs any time soon.

"Having said that, England have done well this year and they are an up-and-coming team. I would actually be fearful if ROG got his hands on England because he, I think, would do an amazing job with them.
