GAA stars out in force for Mick

Ex-teammates and rivals gather for legend's removal

GAA stars past and present turned out in force at the removal of football legend Mick O'Dwyer yesterday.

Former Kingdom players Pat Spillane, Mikey O'Sheehy, Marc O Se, Ogie Moran and Eoin 'Bomber' Liston were among those who stood outside Fitzgerald's Funeral Home in Waterville, Co Kerry.

Also there was current Kerry manager Jack O'Connor, as well as ex-Cork footballers Colman Corrigan and Barry Coffey.

Earlier, locals applauded as the coffin carrying the man who was his county's longest-serving and most successful manager was brought past his pub in his native Waterville for a final time.
