Dull affair for Thomas on Bees return

- BY JOHN CROSS

THOMAS FRANK got a brilliant reception on his first return to Brentford - but is still struggling to win over the Tottenham fans.

The Spurs boss had seven great years at Brentford as he took them on a journey to the Premier League and into their wonderful Gtech Community Stadium.

Understandably, Frank (circle) kept it low key before kickoff when he walked out on to the pitch to receive warm applause from the home fans for everything he had done for the Bees.

But seven months into his reign at Spurs, he has yet to win the hearts and minds of their supporters with the away end chanting, "Boring, boring Tottenham" towards the end of a dire game.
