WITH Christmas just around the corner, all eyes are on Ireland's weather forecast as hopes grow for a blanket of snow on the big day.

White Christmases are a rare treat in this country - the last genuine one happened back in 2010 - but recent forecasts suggest that snow may not be entirely out of the question this year.
