DEADLY AS EVER: Stephen Cluxton answered his critics

DIARMUID CONNOLLY says that Stephen Cluxton's display against Galway has dispelled any doubts around his position.

Cluxton (43), was questioned in the aftermath of Dublin's shock loss to Meath last month as possession was lost on 16 of the 28 kick-outs he took.

Even allowing for the new rule which forces goalkeepers to kick beyond a 40-metre arc from restarts, it was a shocking statistic by Cluxton’s high standards.
