Death riddle of newlywed farmer, 75

THE cause of death of an elderly farmer who died a day after he got married could not be determined, because his body had been embalmed.

Joe Grogan, 75, of Screggan, Tullamore, Co Offaly - a well-known figure in farming circles for hosting the National Ploughing Championships on his lands between 2016 and 2018 - died at home on April 15, 2023.
This year's event will be hosted by his widow, Lisa Flaherty, 51, at the same site on September 16-18.
