MANCHESTER UNITED bosses are split over who to appoint as the club's next manager - and when to do it.

As Manchester froze under a blanket of snow yesterday, the Glazers and Jim Ratcliffe started the search for a new boss following the sacking of Ruben Amorim after 14 months in charge at Old Trafford.

The decision to axe Amorim was taken before Sunday's draw at Leeds, after which the Portuguese opened fire on his employers in an explosive post-match press conference.
