Vicario out to save his Spurs skin

CALAMITY keeper Guglielmo Vicario has begged for a chance to silence his Spurs critics.

Fans want the error-prone Italian kicking into touch after he failed to do just that - putting Fulham's second goal on a plate for Harry Wilson as Marco Silva's men were handed London derby victory.

Thomas Frank is under pressure to axe the 29-year-old but he is set to stick with his first choice for tomorrow's trip to Newcastle after claiming the keeper's critics 'aren't true Spurs fans'.

The Italy international is keen to make amends at St James' Park where Frank's side will look for revenge for their Carabao Cup defeat in October.
