Evans chomping at the bit in quest for new smile

'RAPID' Ricky Evans says it's time to get serious as the joker who always raises a laugh but is scared to smile.

The Ally Pally jester is through to the last 32 at the Paddy Power PDC World Championship, the stage where he has been the punchline four times before, and is hoping it will be all bite on the night.

Asked what he would do with darts' first £1million payday if he won the seven-figure jackpot, Evans, who faces Charlie Manby in the third round, said: "I'd get new teeth.

That's my biggest confidence issue - I hate my teeth. As a boy, I never looked after them. If I ever get pain, it's always in my mouth.

"I'd love to get a proper smile. Have you ever seen me smile?
