ATHLONE Town midfielder Izzy Groves wants to crown a glittering first year in Irish football with a historic double.

The Canadian-born Jamaica international joined the midlands side from London City Lionesses and settled quickly into her new home.

She even managed to notch Athlone's first Champions League goal during their famous run in the competition earlier this year.

Now the Women’s Premier Division winner has eyes on a league and FAI Cup double, ahead of Sunday’s final against Bohemians at Tallaght Stadium, describing it as “the ultimate goal for all of us."
