Teen boy a suspect as he's treated for burns

A CHILD is suspected of carrying out the firebomb attack that claimed the lives of four-year-old Tadhg Farrell and his grandaunt Mary Holt.

This paper has learned that a young teenage boy is suspected of being one of those who carried out the attack in Edenderry, Co Offaly last Saturday on the orders of a criminal grouping - after an associate was attacked in prison.

Sources have also told this paper that Garda suspicions were raised around the young boy after he was treated for burns in the days following the double murders.

The development comes as gardai have built up a picture of those they believe are responsible for the horrific attack that claimed little Tadhg's life at around 7:30pm last Saturday.
