'RACIST COMMENT' TO IRISH U17 STAR

FAI says 'expect UEFA to investigate fully

AN ALLEGED racist incident during an under-17 football match between the Republic of Ireland and Poland has been reported to UEFA.

The Football Association of Ireland said the alleged incident occurred in the second half of the European qualifying 2-0 win over Poland on Saturday.

A comment was reported to the match officials at the time and the players immediately made Republic of Ireland U17 head coach Colin O'Brien aware of the incident.
