ANTHONY ELANGA has made it clear that Alexander Isak's controversial exit to Liverpool did not knock him off his stride last summer.

NO, I DIDN'T LOOK BACK IN ANGA AFTER ISAK LEFT

Elanga (top) arrived as a marquee £55million signing from Nottingham Forest and spoke glowingly about teaming up with Sweden international colleague Isak (below) at the time.

But the pair's time together lasted just a few days.

Within hours of Elanga being presented to the media during an Austrian training camp, Isak had quit the squad to engineer a £125m move to Liverpool.

Elanga and Isak still remain big pals and the winger says that his patchy form at the start of his Newcastle career was down to adapting to life on Tyneside.
