Kym Marsh stars as a long-lost daughter in a tense new drama set down under - but is she all that she seems?

When Kym Marsh flew to Australia to film her new drama The Imposter in Australia alongside pop star Dannii Minogue and Neighbours icon Jackie Woodburne, she was filled with nerves.

However, Dannii and Jackie soon put her at ease and now Kym has made friends for life. "It was my first time over there and I was a little bit nervous," says Kym. "I am a 49-year-old woman, but it was the furthest I'd ever gone before alone. I was all by myself flying off for six weeks without any of my family, but they very quickly put me at ease. It felt like I had known everybody forever."

Kym stars as Amanda, a British woman given up for adoption as a baby by her mother Helen, who has kept her existence a secret from her three other children. Helen is played by soap legend Jackie and Kym says the pair developed a lasting bond on set.

"Jackie was just incredible. She's a bit of a royal, really, in terms of the TV world - she's done a lot of stuff and she's this very seasoned actress. And then to work with her like that - she did take me under her wing because she knew I didn't know anyone in Australia and we worked together a lot.
