After a break, colt eyes Silverware
BACK after a break, in the wake of a flop at Royal Ascot, Los Angeles may be fit enough to land the Group 3 Newbridge Silverware Royal Whip Stakes at the Curragh en-route to another crack at the Arc in October.
Aidan O’Brien has won this prize three times in the last five years, including strikes with Luxembourg (2022) and Continuous (last year), who were both returning from breaks.
Los Angeles won last year’s Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby on this track before taking the Great Voltigeur at York and acquitted himself well against older rivals when fourth to Economics in the Irish Champion Stakes and third behind Bluestocking in the Arc.
