Singer is unveiled as 12th celeb for DWTS

IRISH singing veteran and Eurovision star Brian Kennedy is the final celebrity dancer confirmed to be shaking his hips and testing his footwork on the ninth series of Dancing with the Stars.

The Belfast singer-songwriter, 59, will be hoping to hit all the right notes when the glitzy RTE show kicks off on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

Brian, who was discovered by Spice Girls mogul Simon Fuller, has a glittering career that saw him travel the globe as a vocalist for Van Morrison, sharing stages with music heavyweights like Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell.

The performer's solo career saw his 1996 album, A Better Man, fly off the shelves, going quadruple platinum and spawning chart hits on both sides of the Irish Sea.
