We all know we have a housing emergency in this country and yet the Government has not declared one.

- JOHN KIERANS

See no evil, hear no evil appears to be their policy when everyone knows it is a national emergency.

Kneecap were right at Electric Picnic it is Fianna Fail's and Fine Gael's fault that this has happened and so far they have been unable to fix it.

A whole generation of Irish people can't afford to buy a house or rent and have been left living at home with mammy and daddy. Who in their right mind wants to be living with their parents in their thirties? It is just insane.

I am after spending the past few days in Dubai and there is a simple solution to our housing emergency if we have the courage, drive and vision to do it - they are called skyscrapers.

The authorities in Dubai - a city in the desert on the Arabian Sea with a population of over four million - have built over 250 high rise buildings over the past 20-30 years and people happily live in them.
