Airlift drama of Tour de France ace
CYCLIST Chris Froome has been airlifted to hospital after a training accident in France.
The four-time Tour de France champ, 40, was yesterday set to have surgery after fracturing a vertebrae in his back, collapsing a lung and breaking five ribs.
A statement on his X profile read: “Chris was airlifted to hospital in Toulon following a serious training crash (no other cyclists or vehicles were involved).
