'Edward always had a beautiful smile'

Family's pain & fundraising efforts ahead of birthday

THE grieving family of an Irish four-year-old who died in an accident hours after arriving for a holiday in Tenerife have raised thousands in his memory as they cherish the life of “the happiest young boy”.

Edward Massey, who would be turning five today, passed away on the Spanish island in May 2025 in a tragic accident involving a swimming pool, devastating the lives of his parents Joanne and Richard and his loving older sister Victoria.

Joanne said their lives will never be the same again but takes solace in knowing Edward lived a happy life and always had a big smile.
