Two see red as Gers ship lead to drop precious points
JAMES TAVERNIER scored a penalty as Rangers earned their first Europa League point of the season with a 1-1 draw at home to 10-man Braga.
DANNY ROHL insists Rangers are making clear progress despite watching his side fail to see out a win against 10-man Braga.
James Tavernier's penalty - which saw him equal Ibrox strike legend Ally McCoist's 21-goal European haul - on the stroke of halftime gave the Light Blues the lead against the Portuguese.
And when Rodrigo Zalazar was sent off after an hour for a headbutt on Nico Raskin, Rangers were looking good for their first Europa League win after four straight defeats in the competition.
But Gers couldn't capitalise and Gabri Martinez equalised for the visitors after a Nasser Djiga blunder, with Mohamed Diomande sent packing as he picked up his second red card of the campaign.
The draw leaves Rangers still hunting a first Europa League win this season and with just a solitary point on the board - and three games left in the group stage they've got a mountain to climb in terms of qualification.
