Sonya Collier ‘and inset, with Paul Crosby

- BY NICOLA DONNELLY

A FORMER partner of notorious criminal Paul Crosby is to be sentenced later for ‘being a money mule’ - laundering proceeds of crime on behalf of the Boylan Organised Crime Group.

Sonya Collier, 34, admitted at Dundalk Circuit Court to laundering €13,448 through her Revolut account in 2021.

Collier, of The Meadows, Dry Bridge, Drogheda, Co Louth, was described in court by a Garda witness as a “very close associate of a high-ranking member of the Boylan Organised Crime Group,” adding that she had been in a relationship for many years with Crosby.

Crosby is currently serving a 10-year prison term for his involvement in facilitating the murder of teen Keane Mulready-Woods in January 2020.

He was also the target of a shooting on the Bridge of Peace in Drogheda in January 2020. A gunman tried to shoot him but shot the innocent taxi driver, leaving Crosby uninjured.
