And sources say the largest crime gang active in Ireland at the moment is the outfit known as 'The Family'.

It is based in the Clondalkin area of west Dublin and is led by two brothers.

It has lost drugs worth at least €20million to Garda seizures in the last 12 months, sources say.

The Family makes at least €8million a month from cannabis, cocaine and heroin dealing and is the main target of the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.
