Cop on to swan rescue

GARDAI in Cork were forced to give a young swan an escort after a member of the public rang to say the bird had become disoriented during Storm Amy.

A worried resident rang their local station to raise concerns about the well-being of the bird, which was having trouble braving the heavy rain and high winds.
