WORLD-famous body language expert Darren Stanton studied the Irish Traitors and revealed that the most cunning of them all is... Paudie.

- BY LARISSA NOLAN

The popular grandad - who gained an army of fans - is the best player, and adept at concealing giveaway language, according to the expert.

Ahead of the show finale tonight, Darren explained: "Paudie is brilliant. He doesn't give much away.

"He leans forward into conversations and he is challenging and blunt. It's why people warmed to him, I think. "Certainly, he's my favourite contestant."

Referencing the time fellow traitor Eamon tried to pull Paudie away from a group to talk tactics, he noted: "Paudie directly asks, 'Why?'

CAUTIOUS

"You can see by his cautious body language he is thinking: 'Is this a double bluff?'

"He is very cagey and I don't think in real life people would gain his trust easily."

He added: "I wasn't aware he was a former prison officer when I was watching him, but it explains a lot."

Darren himself was a police officer for nearly 20 years before he became an expert in nonverbal communication.

"I'm ex-police myself so I think prison officers like Paudie would have the same way of thinking - trust no-one, believe nothing, question everything."
