As the summer draws to a close, autumn is the perfect time to slow the pace and rediscover city breaks in a refreshing new way.

Cooler temperatures and a vibrant calendar of cultural events help to make it the ideal season for unique exploration - whether you're sampling local flavours at food festivals, enjoying scenic walks or immersing yourself in authentic local traditions.

With now over 1,000 hotels across 30 cities, TUI is now sharing its top five city break destinations for the ultimate autumn escapes throughout Europe and the US.

Sail the Lights: Amsterdam's Festival from the Water Step aboard a restored 1928 electric saloon boat and glide through Amsterdam's illuminated canals, where world-class light installations transform the city into a glowing open-air gallery.

Stay warm with onboard heating and sip on mulled wine or hot chocolate as the magic unfolds around you. Book a boat tour through the Amsterdam Light Festival from €45 per person.

TUI offers a three-night holiday to the Dutch capital staying at the Citiez Hotel Amsterdam on a room only basis from €290 per person.
