AP to Set up Yoga Mandirs in Every Village and Ward

Unveiling an ambitious vision to make yoga an integral part of daily life across Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday announced that permanent Yoga Mandirs would be established in Swarna Gram and Swarna Ward offices across the state.

The initiative, he said, is aimed at taking yoga to every household and ensuring comprehensive public health.
Addressing a massive gathering at International Yoga Day celebrations at the IGM Stadium here, the chief minister said his government was committed to building a ‐healthy, wealthy and happy Andhra Pradesh‐ through a combination of physical fitness, mental well-being and spiritual growth.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, youth, government employees, officials and others. Yoga guru Baba Ramdev led the sessions, while Naidu and IT minister Nara Lokesh prominently participated in performing the pranayama, anulom-vilom and various yoga postures.
