January 26): Telangana Working Journalists Federation (TWJF) founder president and state convener Mamidi Somaiah stated that the state government's amendment of GO 252 regarding media accreditations, which was issued last month with numerous errors, is commendable. However, he said that this amendment was not comprehensive and was like digging a mountain to catch a mouse. He stated that immediately after the issuance of GO 252, they responded on the very same day, opposing it as it was full of errors and detrimental to journalists, and demanded its immediate amendment. He further added that later, a round table meeting was held with the JAC of journalists' associations, and a representation was submitted to the State Information Minister and Commissioner.
