HIKU 'OWES' WARRINGTON, BUT HE'S DETERMINED TO WIN AT WEMBLEY

- By DAVID CRAVEN

Wolves made me love my footy again, but today's a big game for us

Peta Hiku admits Warrington helped him fall in love with rugby league again - but now he's out to cause them a Wembley nightmare.

The gifted New Zealand centre bids to bring Hull KR Challenge Cup glory in today's final.

He has been a revelation for the resurgent Robins ever since joining from North Queensland Cowboys ahead of last season.

But this is the second spell for the Kiwi in the UK having spent a brief four-month stint with this afternoon's opponents.

Disillusioned Hiku had fallen down the pecking order at NRL outfit Penrith and was released early from his contract in June 2017 to join Warrington on a two-and-a-half deal.

He scored ten tries in just 11 games for Tony Smith's side before heading home to New Zealand Warriors on compassionate grounds.
