The closure of bank branch is disappointing

LAST Wednesday, September 24, it was confirmed that the Hedon branch of Lloyds Banking Group would close in January 2026.

While this news was not entirely unexpected, it still comes as a big disappointment to the local people and small businesses, that rely on the only bank in the area, for their everyday banking needs.

Of course, this situation is not new, with numerous small towns and large villages in the UK having already received “the chop” over the last few years, creating distress among those customers who will face problems adjusting to living in a bank-free zone.
