A MILLION-POUND treasure trove of the contents of one of the world’s most impressive superyachts is to go under the hammer in an auction in Scunthorpe tomorrow.

Built at Devonport in 2008 for Middle Eastern owners at a cost of over £65m, the Sarafsa was the largest motoryacht ever built in a British yard (it remains the second even today) a 3,200-ton six-decker with amenities that included a saloon modelled on the grand hotels of Monaco and the Riviera; a “winter garden” dining room that could become open air at the touch of a button; a piano lounge (complete with a grand piano - tucked away close to the fireplace), as well as a cinema, fully equipped spa, swimming pool, gymnasium, helipad, on board vehicle garage and all the rest.
