St Helens sent 'terrorist threat' after KR play-off semi-final

ST Helens left Hull KR's Craven Park stadium under police protection following what the club described as a “terrorist threat” made to their social media account.

The end of the playoff semifinal between Hull KR and St Helens was met with jubilation from the home supporters, but anxiety amongst some in the Saints camp as head coach Paul Wellens was spotted talking to officers as he departed for the dressing room after the game.

When questioned regarding the police incident, a club spokesman confirmed it concerned a threat which had been made on the club's Instagram page.
