PETERS BACKS ROBINS TO END TROPHY DROUGHT AT WEMBLEY

HULL KR head coach Willie Peters is convinced his side are ready to end their 40-year wait for major silverware after sealing their return to Wembley with a 36-12 Challenge Cup semi-final win over Catalans Dragons in York.

Two late tries from Jack Broadbent sealed a stunning second-half performance that saw Rovers shrug off an early scare and earn the chance to erase the memory of their 2023 final defeat to Leigh.

"We were exceptional in the second half and if we hold on to that and can do that for long periods in the final then we will give ourselves every chance," said Peters, whose side briefly trailed when Catalans bounced back from an early 10-0 deficit.

"This group here can leave a legacy at the club for the next 10 years with what they do now and I hope that is going to be winning a trophy.

"We've been mentally ready for a long time.
