HEAD COACH HAILS CITY'S LAST-GASP VICTORY OVER OXFORD

SERGEJ Jakirovic declared himself pleased with Hull City's dramatic 3-2 win over Oxford United courtesy of Oli McBurnie's 93rd-minute winner.

City twice led a breathless opening 26 minutes courtesy of Joe Gelhardt and Matt Crooks, only to be twice pegged back through Will Lankshear and Cameron Brannagan.

Despite dominating the second period, it looked like City would be forced to settle for a point against a well-organised Gary Rowett outfit, before Abu Kamara combined brilliantly with Ryan Giles who teed up McBurnie to score the winner.

Given City's struggles at the MKM over the past four years, winning their first game in front of their own supporters was absolutely crucial for Jakirovic and his new-look side.
