Inside joke is spurring on Litten to help set new Hull club record

PARTNERSHIP WITH MARTIN IS GOING FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH
Hull FC may have beefed up their squad with some much-needed experience in recent times, but you only have to cast your eye to the side's left edge to see two Hull-born young guns stamping their mark: Lewis Martin and Davy Litten.
Rising on the wing, Martin, just 20 years old, has scored an impressive 23 tries in 23 games in all competitions this year.
And Litten, 22, is getting better and better at centre, nurturing a partnership that saw him supply his winger for the latter's slick hat-trick last time out.
It's a combination still in its infancy but also one going from strength to strength.
However, for Litten, ever present since coming back into the side from injury, it’s also one with improvement at its core.
Into his fourth season in the first team, the rising three-quarter, at home in a new position after switching from fullback, is striving for the next level.
His ambition is there to see, and he won't be content until he reaches his goals.
One of those goals is to get his wing partner to the club’s record for tries in a Super League season - and he’s just four tries away.
“We've got a little inside joke,” Litten, speaking exclusively to the Mail, said.
“Lewis is telling me to get him that record by the end of the year. I told him I'll do my best!
