There was a time when the city of Hull ruled the rugby league world, and while we're not at that stage again just yet, it feels like the trajectory is only going in one direction.

Not since the early 1980s have Hull and Rovers been first and second on the league table, but that's the case going into Good Friday's derby clash.

The Robins, title winners in both 1984 and 1985, pipping their nearest and dearest in 1984, currently lead the way, but a victory for Hull would see the underdogs eclipse their rivals to sit top of the pile. And what a story that would be.
