Five pieces of travel advice for KR fans off to Las Vegas

We might have mentioned it once or twice, but we were lucky enough to go to Las Vegas earlier this year for Super League's Sin City debut - and we're already booked in for 2026!

Hull KR and Leeds Rhinos are heading to Vegas and will take centre stage at the Allegiant Stadium next year in the biggest event rugby league has to offer.

For the supporters of both clubs, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and if you're in a position to make the trip, we couldn't recommend it enough. There is nothing in rugby league that can replicate the sport's takeover of Vegas.

If you are considering going or are already looking to firm up your travel arrangements, we have a few pointers to share with you to help in the way of making sure you have the best trip possible.

The Las Vegas strip is huge - your hotel location is crucial

Take this from someone who learnt the hard way - the 'Vegas strip' is no stroll in the park. When booking this year's trip, it seemed sensible to book a hotel near to the Allegiant Stadium given we would need to spend some time there.

In hindsight, we would recommend the complete opposite. The state-of-the-art stadium is located at the bottom of the 'strip', and we use that term loosely because to walk from one end to the other will take you a very long time.

As an example, our hotel was located literally across the freeway from Mandalay Bay, but because of the way the city is built, walking from Point A to Point B took half an hour.

Walking from the stadium to Bellagio Fountains, which to many is seen as the centre of the strip, will take a little under an hour due to the layout of the strip.

Beyond that, almost every event that took place was at the opposite end of the strip to the stadium. While it's easy to catch an Uber, the costs can quickly add up.
