FC boss addresses Lisone transfer as frustration aired

JOHN Cartwright has reiterated the need for the Rugby Football League to finalise its quota rules for the 2026 season - a process which is stalling Hull FC's ongoing recruitment drive and, namely, their pursuit of Leeds Rhinos prop Sam Lisone.

The current quota is capped at seven players, but the expectation now is that it will be raised to ten players for next year.
Hull are well aware of those opportunities, having already signed James Bell for next season from St Helens, as well as current prop Liam Knight on a new deal.
