HULL KR forward Jai Whitbread is relishing the opportunity to contend for honours, with a love for life at the top - but knows he still has to win something.

The Aussie prop did the hard yards for much of his career when playing for a Gold Coast Titans side that finished bottom of the NRL in 2019, winning just four games all year.

There were not too many wins after that either after moving to Super League, with Whitbread twice suffering relegation in three seasons with Leigh and Wakefield.

Things certainly have changed. The 27-year-old is now striding forward for table-topping Rovers who are big favourites to lift the Challenge Cup against Warrington - who have England captain George Williams fit again at Wembley on Saturday.
